020711 11:00 Internet, browsers & advertising

Yahoo is making a profit. Good, they'll leave us free email users in peace then. By the way, in Mozilla you can switch off images from third party sites. That gets rid of most of the incredibly annoying advertising.

Related anecdote: The last two weeks i was surfing from parents' and friends' computers, using IE, having to deal with some of the most incredible attempts of eye diversion. One time my father was looking over my shoulder and wanted to know what all that flashing and blinking stuff was. I told him and i told him never to click on any of these and boasted a bit about 'my browser' where i hardly ever get to see any of these. "Can i get rid of them?" he inquired. "Not with this browser", i said. "That's outrageous", he shouted, "I'll call my ISP and complain!"

Terminator 3 teaser. Not much to look at yet but still... the music sends a not unpleasant chill up and down your spine. 'Rise of the Machines' is a promising title too. What I want to know: Is Arnie going to be evil again?
